Like many cities, Alexandria is in trouble—crime is rampant, basic services are not being provided and leadership has been unable to come together to offer solutions.
We can all agree we can’t continue down this path. Tough times demand a course change. We have to come together, work together, and make changes that get us back on track. Right now. We've done it before and we can do it again. Alexandria is my home. I’m running for Mayor again because I know together we can do better. We must do better to protect the home we love. With your help, we can make our city safer, clean up our streets, restore basic services, and expand economic opportunities. Jacques knows that it all starts with public safety. A safe city leads to a strong economy
and attracts good paying jobs. Safe neighborhoods foster a nurturing environment to raise our families. It all goes hand in hand.
That’s why Jacques Roy has a detailed plan expanding and reshaping services delivered by the Alexandria Police Department to provide them with the modern tools needed to keep our community safe. Jacques will be ready on day one to tackle the public safety issues facing our city.
Together we will RESTORE basic services delivered by our city, provide our utilities and public works teams with the LEADERSHIP and RESOURCES needed to keep our community running efficiently, and be ready on day one to tackle the infrastructure challenges facing Alexandria.
In city government, that means a laser-like focus on preventing crime. Basic city services like trash collection and drainage, growing our economy and keeping utility rates low.
